Welcome to a verdant region of ancient waterways and canals!
Here you are in France, on the west atlantic coast, in the heart of the Marais Poitevin in a place called "Green Venice" due to its luscious green countryside and network of canals and waterways. You are visiting a little family run campsite where the emphasis is on protection of our exceptional countryside.
Come and discover the wealth of its flora and fauna, its walking and cycling paths, its waterways that can be visited by canoe or punt, as well as some of the region's numerous tourist attractions.
During your stay with us on our site with its eco-label, the team and I hope to share our eco values with you. At the Venise Verte campsite you will find pitches for independent campers and hire of chalets and mobile homes.
Our offer can be fully inclusive with the possibility of meals in our restaurant "Nappe à Carreaux" (checkered tablecloth, red and white as in old farms in France) for groups and individuals. Our speciality is to offer a holiday at a reasonable price to include half board and rental of bicycles and canoes.
This is a unique and unusually verdant spot, a haven of peace and quiet, situated in the heart of a french region of rich heritage which you cannot afford to miss !
Our website is constantly evolving and will allow you to discover new things throughout the year. It is regularly updated and don't hesitate to re-visit it from time to time. You can also bookmark it as a favourite !
In conjunction with our carbon offset scheme, the campsite is making electric bicycles available for your trips and short journeys.
This service is free as you are not polluting the atmosphere, for example doing your shopping on an electric bike instead of using your car. We simply ask you to play the game and make a donation to our little eco frog. The contents of this money box allow mangrove trees to be replanted on the banks of Lake Ahémé in Benin.
